How to back up your WordPress site

Backups let you recover quickly if something goes wrong. With Dirham A Day you get two layers of protection.

1. Automatic off-site backups (DirhamVault). Your hosting includes automatic backups stored off-site through DirhamVault, so a copy of your site and database is kept safely away from the main server. If you need a restore, you can request one from the DirhamHost panel or ask our team.

2. Your own WordPress backups. For extra control, install UpdraftPlus from Plugins → Add New. Then:

1. Open Settings → UpdraftPlus Backups.
2. Click Backup Now and include both files and database.
3. Set a schedule — daily or weekly is sensible for an active site.
4. Optionally connect Google Drive or Dropbox for a second copy.
